Latvian Rublis

A transitional currency in Latvia between 1992 and 1993. It was introduced because the inflation of the Russian ruble, which previously circulated, was negatively impacting the Latvian economy. It was equal in value to the ruble. The Latvian rublis was replaced by the lats.
