"The banks, however, usually allow the
judgement debtor to catch up the arrears under threat of a sale of execution.
In this case, the printer is the judgement creditor, the consultancy firm the
judgement debtor and the Commission the third party attached.
If a judgement is obtained, and the client still ignores demands for payment by the agency, a
judgement debtor examination may be set up.
Despite the provisions in the law protecting the residence of the
judgement debtor and his family, the court may issue the writ of sale provided there will be an adequate amount left for the debtor to buy another residence to accommodate his family.
He highlighted that the complaints received by the justice system from the public with regard to the services provided by deputy sheriffs included non-remittance of the money received from
judgement debtors, high service fees and non-response to customers' communication.
