Japanization

the adoption by organizations elsewhere of work organization and employment practices usually found in large Japanese companies. See QUALITY CIRCLE, JUST-IN-TIME (JIT) SYSTEM/TOYOTA PRODUCTION SYSTEM, KANBAN, KAIZAN, JIDOKA, KEIRETSU, HOSHIN, FIVE S, SEVEN WASTES, SINGLE MINUTE EXCHANGE OF DIES, SINGLE UNION DEALS, ENTERPRISE UNION (see TRADE UNION entry), NO-STRIKE AGREEMENT.
