Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization
An international organization dedicated to managing and conserving fish resources. It also conducts scientific research to accomplish its mission. It is responsible for most fish in the Northwest Atlantic with the exception of marlins, salmon, shellfish, tuna and whales. Twelve countries are members; it was established in 1979.
