Hard Proof Page
In publishing, a hard copy of a proof. A proof is effectively a final draft of a publication before it goes to print; it is used to correct errors. A hard copy is a physical document, as opposed to something on a computer screen. Using a hard proof page to correct errors is the traditional way in which publishing has operated, but the advent of computers has slowly changed this.
