Google

A publicly-traded company primarily offering a web portal. Originally a search engine in the 1990s and early 2000s, Google expanded to online messaging, e-mail services, web video, mobile phones and so forth. Washington [United States], May 17 ( ANI ): Google recently revamped its Google News app, which is now finally available for iOS devices.
But the Google News team vetting was pulled around four years ago, expanding news results from a selection of sources to any and all sources.
"The new law requires publishers to charge Google News for showing even the smallest snippets of their content — whether they want to charge or not," the company said.
The Brussels-based agency is investigating whether Google promotes its own specialist search services, such as Google News and Google Finance, copies rivals' travel and restaurant reviews, and has agreements with websites and software developers that stifle competition in the advertising industry.
Google News recently made it clear that it would block sponsored content, according to the site's blog: "If a site mixes news content with affiliate, promotional, advertorial or marketing materials (for your company or another party), we strongly recommend that you separate non-news content on a different host or directory, block it from being crawled with robots.txt, or create a Google News Sitemap for your news articles only.
