Forbes Global 2000

A list compiled and published annually by Forbes magazine of the 2000 largest publicly-traded companies in the world. The Forbes Global 2000 uses four criteria to arrive at its list: sales, profits, assets and market value. To be listed on the Forbes Global 2000 is considered very prestigious. The Forbes Global 2000 replaced the Forbes 500 in 2003.

The Global 2000 list is ranked according to a composite score from equally weighted measures of revenue, profits, assets and market value.
