Group of 15
An informal organization of developing nations. It was established to promote cooperation in trade, technology, and other matters, as well as to present a united face in negotiations with other groups such as the World Trade Organization. It was established in 1989. Despite the name, there are in fact 18 members, which are Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Niger, Peru, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe.
