Toshihiko Fukui(redirected from Fukui Toshihiko)
A Japanese businessman who served as Governor of the Bank of Japan from 2003 to 2008. As governor, he refused to establish an inflation target or take other steps that were thought to help combat deflation. In the 1980s (during the Japanese bubble), he was the head of the Bank's business department.
