estate agenta business which acts as an AGENT on behalf of personal and industrial clients in the buying and selling of land and buildings. Estate agents provide various services for their clients including the valuation and pricing of land and buildings, advice on the attributes of the land or building itself and the locality in which it is situated, and conveyancing, surveying, inspection and MORTGAGE contacts. The provision of estate agency services in the UK is regulated by the Estate Agency Act 1979 which lays down general rules of good conduct and can ban persons who are deemed unfit for this purpose.
