Environment Agency

a UK body that was established in 1996 under the Environment Act 1995. The Agency is responsible for the protection of natural water resources, flood warning and defence, fisheries, recreation, conservation and navigation, regulating waste and industrial processes, water quality and POLLUTION prevention.
