Bar Code

A code placed on a product that a machine can read. Groceries and other products commonly have bar codes on them so a machine can display how much they cost. This ensures accurate prices are paid on retail goods. Bar codes were invented by a graduate student in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1948.

bar code

an alpha or alpha-numeric code, converted into a series of lines and spaces which are marked on products. Bar coding and the use of bar code scanners enables a firm to obtain accurate data quickly on its STOCK position to help with planning its reordering of goods; and can be used to adjust the prices of goods more easily than by replacing price tags. See EPOS.

The RSVD of a data matrix X can be written as X = U[LAMBDA][V.sup.T], where U is a column orthonormal matrix, V is a row orthogonal matrix, and A is a diagonal matrix that contains the singular values.
To simulate the data matrix A a concentration matrix C = [C.sub.MonL] has been computed in accordance with equilibrium model of two-step ligand binding.
In its GSI Data Matrix guide issued this year, the organization stresses the importance of sufficient contrast to enable the scanner to discriminate clearly between dark and light areas of the code.

The 1D/2D Label Verification Kit is designed to verify ID barcodes or 2D Data Matrix codes on flat labels; the Large Linear Verification kit is intended for ID barcodes greater than 5cm length on flat labels; and the Dot Peen Verification Kit can be used for dot peen direct part mark 2D Data Matrix codes on flat surfaces in offline applications.
The core of the association rules is the Boolean attributes which are derived from an analysis of data matrix. The data matrices are explained using good examples where transactions are presented.
Contrary to the traditional linear barcodes, the small square sized 2D barcode is printed using the 2D Data Matrix technology, which can hold more information pertaining to the product identification, expiry date, and lot number on each vaccine product.
It also reads codes presented in any orientation, multiple codes within the same image, and 2-D codes such as Data Matrix and QR codes.
Biclustering process performs simultaneous clustering along the rows and columns of a two dimensional data matrix. Thus in biclustering process, in contrast with clustering, a single row may be in more than one bicluster.
