Crystallization

The act of selling an asset and immediately buying the same asset back. One does this for tax purposes; that is, one sells the asset in order to realize a capital loss, but buys it back because one believes it still represents a solid investment. Most tax agencies have rules forbidding or limiting crystallization.

In this study, the crystalline structure, thermal properties, isothermal crystallization kinetics and mechanical behavior of a semi-crystalline poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) matrix have been investigated and the effect of the incorporation of Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles on the above properties of the matrix has been explores, as these characteristics are of great importance for potential use of the prepared nanocomposites in biomedical applications.
