Certificated Stock

Inventory of a commodity that has been inspected by a designated official and determined to be of the appropriate quality. Certificated stock may be used in delivery on a futures contract or option. Certificated stock is also called certified stock. It should not be confused with a stock certificate, which indicates ownership of a stock.
