The ISO 4217 currency code for Bosnia & Herzegovinan Convertible Mark.

BAM

ISO 4217 code for the Bosnian and Herzegovinian convertible mark. It was introduced in 1995 and replaced three different currencies. It was pegged to the German mark on a 1:1 ratio. When the euro replaced the German mark, the convertible mark changed the peg to 1 euro : 1.95583 convertible marks. This was the same ratio that the German mark had with the euro before its replacement.
