Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries

An international organization for countries that produce natural rubber. It exists to promote the trade of rubber in an economically and environmentally sustainable way. Most member nations are located in south or east Asia, or the South Pacific. It was established in 1970.

The first four months of 2009 have witnessed a drastic drop in production of natural rubber (NR) in most countries, according to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries. With the notable exception of China, production dropped in all the ANRPC member countries, which together account for about 94% of the commodity's global supply.
