Area of Dominant Influence

The geographic area that a television or radio station covers. For example, a radio station based in Tulsa usually can be heard through most of Northeastern Oklahoma. This is important in advertising, as more people can see or hear an ad broadcast over a larger ADI. The Arbitron Company publishes the ADI for American media markets.
