Area Sample
(redirected from Area Selections)Area Sample
In statistics, all the possible values a random variable can take under a given set of circumstances in a geographic area, as well as the probability that it will take each value. That is, an area sample divides a large geographic area into subunits and calculates the probability that the variable will occur in each unit. An area sample is a form of probability distribution applied to geography. It is also called an area selection.
