In insurance, a form of the accelerated option that allows a policyholder to have access to the savings portion of his/her whole life policy (or the equivalent in other policies). That is, the accelerative endowment transfers to the policyholder the portion of the premiums that were set aside for his/her future use. The accelerative endowment is paid as a lump sum and may be used for any purpose.
