American Guild of Musical Artists

A labor union for American singers, dancers and other performers. Among other activities, it lobbies and negotiates contracts for better pay and working conditions. Unlike most other performers' unions, it does not forbid members from doing non-union work. It was established in 1936 and is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and the Associated Actors and Artistes of America.
