Volume Discount

Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus 0.01 sec.
Volume discount
A reduction in price based on the purchase of a large quantity.

Volume Discount
A decrease in the price for a product that occurs when the buyer acquires a particularly large quantity. A seller may offer a volume discount to entice buyers to conduct business with the seller. A volume discount reduces the profit that the seller makes on each, individual product, but it allows him/her to make a large sale quickly and receive the proceeds from it in short order.
