Utility revenue bond A municipal bond issued to finance the construction of public utility services. These bonds are repaid from the operating revenues the project produces after the utility is finished. Utility Revenue Bond A municipal bond issued in order to finance the construction of a public utility, such as a power plant or a water treatment plant.
