Tularemia
An infectious bacterium that can cause lesions, fever, anorexia and death in humans. It has been used in American, Japanese and Soviet bioweapons programs. See also: Biowarfare.

Inhaled bacteria may produce tularemic pneumonia, bronchiolitis, pleuritis, pneumonitis or hilar lymphadenitis, which would produce a cough (Coleman, 2002).
In addition to the clinical picture that characterizes tularemia, characteristic radiographic signs of tularemic cervical lymphadenopathy may be seen on contrast-enhanced axial CT.
