town house or townhome
(redirected from town home)

    0.01 sec.
town house or townhome

A residential construction type that includes dwelling units with no side yards, but which share a common wall and sometimes common roof structures, sidewalks, and/or driveways with the units on either side. Each property owner has an easement in the shared portion on the other side of the line. A common wall cannot be partially removed, for example, because it would damage the support for the other property, and a common driveway cannot be partially removed because it supplies the access to the others'parking court or garage. See also party wall.
