Time-and-a Half
Informal; the period of time during which a wage earner makes 150% of his/her normal, hourly rate. For example, a worker who ordinarily earns $10 per hour makes time and a half when he earns $15 per hour. Time and a half usually is paid when an employee is required to work more than a certain number of hours, or is required to work on a holiday.
