Affluenza

1. A situation in which wealthy people find themselves unhappy. The term came to prominence in the mid-2000s, when the financial industry was doing extraordinarily well but people who worked on Wall Street or The City discovered that large bank accounts did not satisfy them at their deepest levels.

2. A slang term for greed.
