1. Securities Transfer Association. A trade association for banks and independent transfer agents. The STA performs a number of services for the industry and, significantly, operates the STAMP program.

2. Security Trader Association. A trade association for individuals who trade in securities. Established in Chicago in 1934, the STA provides educational, informational, and social opportunities for members.
