In the case of equity, having gained a reputation for quality with the investing public and enjoying liquidity in the secondary market; in the case of convertibles, having traded for at least 90 days after issue in Europe, and thus available for sale legally to U.S. investors.

1. Of or relating to a security that has been traded long enough to establish a positive reputation for liquidity and trade volume. Seasoned securities tend to have stable prices and meet with success of the secondary market.

2. Any euromarket security that has been traded for 40 days or longer. SEC regulations do not allow certain American investors to trade in euromarket securities before they have been traded for at least 40 days.
