Risk Averse
Describing an investor who usually makes low risk investments. A risk averse investor may not have access to capital he/she can afford to lose, or he/she may simply prefer not to have to worry about investments. A risk averse investor generally buys investment-grade bonds and/or blue chip stocks. One must be prepared for lower returns in exchange for being risk averse. See also: Eat Well, Sleep Well.
