Resiliency
The ability of equipment to continue to function at the same level even after its components stop working. This can be an important concept for complex machinery.

This type of intervention requires school counselors to have an appreciation of not only the well-documented risks faced by LGB students but also their unique resiliencies and strengths (Anderson, 1998).
Mehmoona Moosa-Mitha's "The Canadian Welfare State: The Resiliencies of Canadian-Muslim Youth" examines the constraints and weaknesses of Canada's liberal social welfare project in relation to marginalized communities, whose relation to the welfare state is marked by colonial/colonized legacies.
Family Justice's experience suggests that instead of focusing only on deficits, asking about positive social connections and personal strengths and resiliencies can provide case managers with a different entry point to talk about behavior change.
