pricing policy

the overall policy pursued by a multiproduct firm in PRICING its products. At the specific level pricing policy will include PRODUCT LINE PRICING, establishing price differentials between the brands making up a line, for example prices of the basic and de luxe versions of the Ford Mondeo car. At a general level, pricing policy would also embrace price relativities between product lines, for example prices of the Ford Mondeo, Focus and Ka cars.

Other areas involving a multidimensional pricing approach include BY-PRODUCT PRICING, CAPTIVE PRODUCT PRICING, OPTIONAL EXTRAS PRICING, PRICE-QUALITY TRADEOFF, SELECTIVE PRICE CUTTING, BUNDLED PRICES.
