Muniment
A document proving ownership. A muniment may simply be the title to a property; on the other hand, a muniment may be another document, such as a death certificate, indicating that title has passed to another person.

(1) A legal document evidencing title to real property. (2) Under the muniment of title doctrine,when parties have litigated the title to real property,the loser cannot take a second bite of the apple,sue the next owners,and thereby attempt to regain title.
