Most-Active List

    0.01 sec.
Most Active List
The list of stocks on an exchange with the highest trading volume, especially on a given trading day. A stock is often listed on the most active list when relevant information on the company becomes available. Being on the most active list is not necessarily positive; that is, the information could be either good or bad, and investors could buy or sell accordingly. Technical analysts may use the high trading volume to determine how strong or sustainable a bullish or bearish trend is.

most-active list
The list of the most-active securities in a specific market during a defined period. The most-active list is viewed with interest by analysts because it includes unusually active stocks frequently accompanied by large price movements.
