Incubator A non-profit or for-profit company that ensures that clients, which are all start-ups, have sufficient resources, technical knowledge, and other tools needed to succeed on their own. Incubator firms may charge a fee for these services, take equity in the company, or in some cases, even provide advice for free. A venture capital firm may or may not provide incubator services.
