Active Window

On a computer, the window (or interface) one is currently using. Most computers only allow one active window at a time. For example, if one has a web browser and a word processor both open, one can only utilize one at a time even though both programs are open. The same applies for two windows of the same program.

The final touch is a tool for scrolling through the contents of inactive windows with the mouse wheel, without having to activate them: just place the mouse pointer over the required window and rotate the wheel.
