Warehouse
A building in which goods are stored, especially in large quantities and for commercial purposes. Warehouses may be used to store imports before they are distributed, commodities whose contracts are being traded, goods intended for retail sale, and many other purposes. Goods stored in warehouses may be owned by a company and sold to another for resale. Warehousing is an important part of many supply chains. See also: Wholesale.

Essential commodities are mostly stocked in the main godown in the FCI (Food Corporation of India) like rice and sugar.
