Geodetic coordinates are indispensable for routing transportation and delivery of goods,locating underground utility equipment for repairs,excavating,and restoration of the earth's surface.The entire Internet depends on global positioning system (GPS) clocks for the precise timing necessary to avoid instant, perpetual gridlock.Without the spatial coordinates supplied by the geodetic survey system, which are necessary for minute adjustments in the delivery of time information,the Internet,the financial sector,and a host of other necessary sectors of our economy would be in the Dark Ages.
