In the context of general equities, having sole possession of the customer order/indication; not in competition with other dealers.

Exclusive
Describes a broker-dealer who has a client's order or indication of interest without competing with other broker-dealers. That is, an exclusive broker-dealer is not competing for a better commission or anything else with other broker-dealers.
