dummy A straw man, as when a developer desires to purchase a number of properties in order to assemble them and build a shopping center but is afraid that owners will increase their asking prices if they know the true name of the buyer. The liner little points of the game are constantly on display, whether it's dummying the ball to let it run out of bounds, or making a goal kick, or whatever. His argument supporting the dummying down of the whole district is lame and misguided. The device is non-invasive and diagnostic, so unlike surgical or other therapeutic procedures, there are no major ethical issues regarding randomization, and the therapy could easily be blinded by either dummying a device or simply not using the transmitted recordings as part of treatment decisions. |
