deposition

Out-of-court testimony under oath by a witness or other party either during the pendency of a lawsuit or in order to preserve evidence in the event of a lawsuit. The testimony is recorded and transcribed by a court reporter, and the deponent (the person giving the deposition testimony) then signs the transcript to confirm that it is a true and accurate record of the questions asked and the answers given.Deposition testimony is admissible in court under some circumstances if the deponent is unavailable to testify.Especially when dealing with elderly persons,if there is some dispute over title to real property or the effects of adverse possession, it is good practice to obtain deposition testimony.

On the basis of the distribution of the foraminifera and vertical facies relationships, three major depositional environments have been identified in the Early to Middle Miocene succession of the Khamir section.
beginning with an overview of the seismic reflection method in general and its limitations, two major sections focus on the description of seismic stratigraphic techniques themselves--including a manual of basic observations, terminology and classification of seismic facies units and a chapter on well calibration and control--and on the depositional environment and facies interpretation.
Thus the gray shales do not represent a uniform depositional environment, but instead environmental conditions vary in a relatively short distance such as between Location A and B.
The JIP will focus on the following key issues: relationships between facies, depositional sequences and reservoir quality; shale pore types and their effect on total porosity and permeability; porosity-permeability trends for individual Utica and Point Pleasant facies; relative permeability and capillary pressure behavior; and linking core-derived reservoir quality to well logs and well productivity.

The low-energy depositional environment of the Natron palaeo-lake, along with fast burial from alluvial sedimentation and volcanic ash that coated the landscape, created Favourable conditions for the preservation of archaeological material.
