Hundred Weight

100 pounds. Cwt is used in some futures contracts and other derivatives in which the weight of the underlying asset is required. For example, a contract may state that the seller will deliver 3 Cwt, meaning 300 pounds. This convention has been in use in the United States since the 19th century.
