CHESS

Clearing House Electronic Subregister System
An electronic system that settles transactions made on the Australian Securities Exchange. Under Australian corporate law, all equity securities must be held and settled through CHESS. It is operated by the ASX Settlement and Transfer Corporation Pty Limited.
