A provision in a contract requiring the seller to buy the property back for a stated price if certain conditions are met within a specified period of time.One wishing to purchase an existing automobile dealership may purchase the land first,with a buyback agreement requiring seller repurchase if the purchaser is unable to obtain manufacturer approval for transfer of the dealership itself.
