Blowoff In technical analysis, a bearish indicator in which a security rises in price a great deal, suddenly and after a long period of slow price appreciation. A decline in price almost invariably follows a blowoff; it is considered the peak of a bull market. Technical analysts may recommend that investors sell a security that is experiencing a blowoff.
