Much of the study centered around the idea that the average Egyptian has tens of bills to pay monthly -- from telephone, to mobile, to utilities, to internet -- and that the lack of a streamlined process means that bill payment has become a time-consuming venture.
6% of Egyptians are seeking new ways to simplify bill payments; rated paying fixed line, utilities, car license and insurance as most time consuming bills to pay The research was recently conducted by Ipsos Marketing Research for Fawry, a leading banking and payment technology services company in Egypt, as part of an assessment on the growing demand by Egyptians for advanced bill payment facilities that would eliminate the hassles of traditional bill payment methods that exist today.
Since then, the check industry has experienced quite a downturn in demand due to the many new bill payment options available to businesses and consumers.
