Beta Test

Beta Test
A test of a product by outside users before the product goes into mass production. That is, a beta test occurs after an internal alpha test but before a product is produced in large quantities for consumers. The term is used most often in software development.

Beta Tests Generated 50% Improvement in Contact Rates, Closing Rates Increased as High as 200% During the program's beta testing process, which involved 165 dealers overall, customer contact rates improved an average of 50% among the dealers who provided direct contact numbers (as opposed to toll-free and third-party tracking numbers) and who consistently opted to connect with Autobytel customers.
This is the first of several commercial beta tests that we plan to implement both on our own and with our partners.
The RFP's will suggest a variety of studies the company wants to pursue in addition to the beta tests already scheduled and the primate studies beginning at the Southwest Foundation for Biological Research.
