Bargain hunter In the context of general equities, purchaser who is extremely selective in the price sought on a transaction. Bargain Hunter An investor who buys low-priced stocks either predominantly or exclusively. The season started on a strong note with hordes of bargain hunters flocking to stores on the weekend after Thanksgiving, with the National Retail Federation reporting $28 billion worth of sales for the three-day period. It may sound odd to describe someone purchasing a million-plus-dollar apartment as a bargain hunter, but for foreign buyers, Manhattan is on sale. |
