Annuity in Advance
An annuity with payments that are made at the beginning, rather than the end, of a period. For example, an annuity in advance may require payments at the beginning of the month. Many rental agreements have annuity in advance payments, while most credit cards, for example, do not. See also: Ordinary Annuity.
