alluvium The material deposited on land by virtue of the process of accretion. The accretion process occurs when rivers or other waters deposit silt and mud on land,and thus create more land; the silt and mud making up the new land is called alluvium. | The property is favourably situated in the uplands shedding
alluvial material to rivers immediately north of the property boundary,
which are the sites of alluvia gold workings. Last year's drilling in this area defined a broad,
relatively thick zone of sub-ore grade gold mineralization that may be
proximate to higher grade, steeply dipping gold bearing structures
masked by alluvia. |
