The firm stated that the patent
term certificate extends the term of the patent from its original expiration date of 2020.

The authority may raise funds through any means considered appropriate in the circumstances including through real estate investment trusts, bonds, sukuk and other forms of finances obtained on the basis of participation
term certificate (PTC), musharika certificates, term finance certificate or any other financial or debt instruments or securities.
A regulatory framework is being prepared for the issue of Sukuk and Participation
Term Certificate. Also, efforts will be made to create liquidity in the existing commodities exchange through introduction of new products, and improving existing risk management regime and framework for default management at the PMEX.
